Minnie, not a mother

You’d be forgiven for thinking you can order your own baby in the time it takes to decide on five extra ingredients for your pho soup.   Uh uh.  It’s not that easy.   Not every woman who wants to be a mother gets to be one.

I wanted to share my story in the hope that it would make a difference to other women who are fighting similar battles, emotionally, physically, and hormonally.   In the retelling, I realised that although I’m not a mother, I have mothered, and that gives me immense comfort on days when my arms feel empty.

PS. I’m a proud Stepmom and Aunty!
